How does it work
The first results are visible after 6 to 8 weeks after the treatment.
The cryolipolysis process
1. Drawing up the treatment plan
A treatment plan must be drawn up prior to treatment. During the intake it will be determined whether you are eligible for the cryolipolysis treatment. After that we will determine where and how many treatments will be performed.
2. Applying the treatment head
Before the treatment head is placed, the area to be treated is marked with a special skin marker. A gel pad is then applied to this area. The gel pad protects the skin from the cold. After the gel pad has been placed, the treatment head can be placed. In general, the treatment head will sit on the skin for 45 minutes. This depends on your personal treatment plan.
3. Cooling process of the fat cells
No anesthesia is needed for this procedure. The treatment head sucks in the skin with the subcutaneous fat layer. The fat cells are cooled to a temperature of -9°C. During the first few minutes, you may experience a tingling or stinging sensation. This feeling will disappear after about 5 minutes as the skin becomes numb from the cold. Due to this cooling process, the fat cells reach a temperature of 2 to 4 degrees. The treatment takes about 45 minutes. After the removal of the treatment head the skin is massaged intensively for two minutes. After the treatment it is possible that the skin of the treated area may be slightly red, but this often disappears after half an hour.
4. Natural drainage of the fat cells
As the procedure is finalised, your body takes over. The fat cells that are frozen are seen as abnormal by the body. These cells will die off. The body naturally breaks down and disposes of these fat cells during 8 to 12 weeks. The fat cells that have been broken down and removed do not come back.
5. Result of the cryolipolysis
The first results are visible after 6 to 8 weeks after the treatment. The elimination process of the fat cells can continue for up to 16 weeks after the treatment. A big advantage of this is that the skin gets time to grow and adapt to the gradual fat loss.
